Reviews

People should visit the UN because “how often do people get to venture into international territory” a worker stated. It’s true how often does that happen.  Especially when the meetings are so quiet, hush-hush and you only know about them when the President comes to town.  One review said remember to bring your passport to the UN because you can get it stamped with the UN insignia.

The United Nations Building

The 509 ft, 39 floors and 18 acre building was constructed by Contractors Fuller, Turner, Slattery and Walsh. The contractors took the architects vision and used Aluminum, glass and marble to construct The UN.  The UN is used for World Meetings including the President of The United States and other world leaders.  Reviewers say the UN is worth the visit and the employees are really welcoming.

History Of The United Nations

The UN Charter was signed June 26 1945 which created a peace treaty between 193 world leaders.  After the Charter was signed the World Leaders decided they needed a place to hold meetings to discuss the matters of the safety of all the countries people.  So they decided to build the UN. The United Nations has held a lot of big meetings. One meeting was the World Conferance on Human Rights. This meeting led to a lot of good things in the UN.  The official languages of the UN is Arabic, English, French, Chinese, Russian and Spanish.
